The Trainers:
Greg is a professional Retriever Trainer/Handler. He has spent 30 years hunting waterfowl and upland game. "I know the importance and pride of hunting over a well trained, obedient retriever and the bond created between a hunter and his gun dog. Whether I am training a started hunting retriever or an advanced field trial dog, the dogs I train will be prepared for the field or duck blind, as well as any hunt test running line. I have trained and run trials with many dogs including my own in AKC and UKC hunt tests and have over 10 years experience training dogs. I only train a small number of dogs at one time to ensure your dog and every other client's dog I have at the time get the right amount of professional training and individual attention that you want and expect."

Kathy has 22 years of Training and Showing background with Obedience, Hunting and Agility. "Greg and I met 6 years ago at an Upland Hunting Trial and quickly became friends. We combined our passions for dogs, hunting and my competing in the show ring and created Sundowner Retrievers. I focus more heavily on the client dogs with Obedience and will show client dogs in the ring. We STRONGLY believe that a well rounded hunting dog should have solid obedience, manners in a house, potty training and get along always with all dogs in the household.  Regardless if your dog is an outside kennel dog. At Sundowner Retrievers, we will be having your dog in our home and teaching your companion on how to be a well behaved dog in your home for your family.  This is why we focus on a small amount of dogs so that they get solid training both in the field and in the home."
